Sewing With Kids: The Pillow Progesses

20140807-153716-56236923.jpg

This week has seen side 2 of my son’s pillow cover sewn up, using the same prints as the first side, but very neatly arranged! Once again, he was in charge of the layout, lifting/lowering the presser foot and occasionally deciding to help with backstitching too. Now we need to cut and add the Kokka scientist fabric borders and then I’ll be adding a zipper closure along the bottom. And buy an insert! He’s rather concerned about the fact we haven’t bought one yet, because when you’re 4, ALL THE THINGS ARE URGENT!

  1. These are lovely. I especially love the story of the process in your first post. I look forward to seeing the finished pillow.
